I am writing this Review on behalf of our Trip to Poon Hill. I was with Gelu Sherpa and the porter Dawa the little Annapurna round 2017 in October / November. It was my first visit to the wonderful country of Nepal and I was excited if I could make it to the stages and with the condition of all the ... See more circumstances. But the worries were unfounded because I had Gelu at my side. During the stay in Kathmandu and Pokhara as well as on the whole tour he took care of everything. In the accommodations, we had good rooms and even such small problems as the handling of the foreign ATMs.The road took us from Kathmandu, where it is essential to take some time for the metropolis via Pokhara at the beginning of the tour, the highlight of  which was the view of Poon Hill. There you have at sunrise a wonderful view of e.g. the Machhapuchhre and other peaks in the sunrise. Poon Hill trek is also a popular trekking destination for the Annapurna region trek. Poon hill at 3,210 meters is also a famous viewpoint of a trekker’s paradise. Anyone with a moderate level of physical fitness can join this trek. Gelu was always there, explained, pointed out special features, motivated and helped. Especially for beginners who want to get to know the country I can recommend this trip and especially under the guidance of Gelu. I myself hope that I can do another tour soon. This is only short review about my trip to Poon Hill. See less...
