Gosaikunda Helambu Trek is one of the most adventurous trekking routes in Nepal. This route follows the same route to the Langtang valley trek at the beginning. It takes you to high passes in the mountain regions. Mt. Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Yala peak and Annapurna ranges. Along the trails, you will come across a cultural diversity of Sherpa, Tamang and Tibetan people. You can also observe their tradition, religion, and lifestyle. Gosaikunda Lake is a freshwater lake at an altitude of 4380 meters.
It is also a holy lake because it attributes the abode of Shiva and Gauri. There are tea houses that offer a variety of snacks. Gosainkunda Helambu Trek starts from Syabru Besi, following the Langtang river it moves towards the thick bamboo forest and leads to Thulo Syabru which is the Tamang village and higher at west crossing the Gosaikunda pass. After visiting the holy Gosaikunda Lake we trek down to Laurebina pass and enter the Helambu region. By crossing Thadepatti, Ghopte and Kutumsang the walk leads along the ridges towards eastern Kathmandu valley rim hills. We trek from Melamchi gaon to Timbu and drive back to Kathmandu through the route of Bhaktapur.
This trekking is still one of the less-traveled trekking areas in Nepalese Himalaya. After completing the Gosainkunda Helambu Trek, we do sightseeing in Kathmandu such as Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath and enjoy the farewell program with dinner. Next day our staff will pick you and after breakfast drop you to the airport for going back home.
