Mount Kailash tour, also called Mt. Kailash is 6714m. high. This mountain is the holiest, both for the Buddhists and for the Hindus. According to Hindu legend, Shiva and his wife Parvati live in the mountain areas. Many believers go all the way around this pilgrimage to free themselves from sins. The Kailash tour around Mt. Kailash takes about 3 – 6 days. It depends on how quickly the trekkers can go around. At the foot of the Kailash mountain are the Mansarovar and Rakshas lakes, which are of great importance to the pilgrims. Every traveler or trekker must pay attention to the following equipment if he / she has Tibet on the itinerary.

  4. Sleeping pads,
  5. Down jacket,
  6. windproof jacket,
  7. Rain jacket or poncho,
  8. An inflatable pillow.

The Mt. kailash is sacred and therefore this one is not allowed to climb for any travelers and mountaineers. This is not a holy only for followers of one religion, but for sacred for Buddhists, Hindus and the followers of the Bon religion. There are large amounts of pilgrims going to Kailash every year. According to hindus mount kailash is the abode of Lord Shiva but Tibetan Buddhist believes that Kailash is the abode of the tantric meditational deity Demchog. Jains consider the Kailash as the site at which their first Tirthankar attained nirvana.
