Mardi Himal Trek is one of the easy and popular trekking routes of Annapurna region. This is a short and easy trek that starts from Pokhara. The trekking adventure goes to forest paths and winding along the ridge. The scene unfolds into the alpine landscapes towards the Mardi Himal base camp.
The autumn season is best for Mardi Himal trek. From the high camp, you can see close up view of entire peaks of the Annapurna mountain range. This trek requires you to have a moderate level of physical fitness. The trails are rocky at base camp and high camp. The maximum altitude is 4500 meters.
As you venture in the main part of the Mardi Himal trek you are on the off-beaten path of shepherds in the grasslands. The walking distances are short and easy but you will start gaining altitude. The slope of Mardi Himal is situated at an altitude of 5587m above the sea level and easily catch by even the non-professional climbers.
You are accompanied by small tea houses and lodges at different places. Trekkers have sufficient time to rest. 3-4 hours of walk every day is the requirement. It is also suitable for beginners. The best season for this trip is from March to May in Spring season and from September to November in Autumn season.
