Tilicho lake trek is a popular trekking destination in the Annapurna region. Which is to a heavenly lake below the surroundings of Mountain peaks. It is the highest lake in Nepal at 4919 meters. To get there the high passes of Annapurna Mountain region name Thorong La Pass. It must be traversed by the trekkers at the Manang district.
The trek is adventurous in the remote regions of Nepal. This trek takes you straight to landmarks of Marsyangdi valley to Chame and reclining to the Kaligandaki valley below. To arrive here first the trekkers drive to Beshisahar where the trekking starts. Taking through the Tibetan villages to the Marsyangdi River with backdrops of Manaslu and Hiunchuli to the Manang district.
Prominent places like Dharapani followed by Bagarchhap, Chame takes the travelers to Tilicho Lake. Mani walls, prayer flags, gorges, grazing yak pastures, pine forest, farming terraces, icefalls are some of the significant observing points towards the Tilicho camp.
Tilicho Lake is a crystalize mountain lake fill with turquoise blue water. The trekking move towards Jomsom and Muktinath and flight to Pokhara and back to starting point completing Tilicho Lake trek in Nepal. The trek is largely based on lodging. As lodges have been build in this region to give service to the trekkers.
It has a high pass name Thorong La Pass this trekking is a strenuous, but rewarding trek in the countryside also guided by guides and porters. Tilicho Lake is surrounding by Mt. Khangsar, Muktinath peak, Nilgiri, and Mt. Tilicho from which the name of the lake has been derived from. The best seasons are April, May, September, October, and November.
