Kalinchowk Darshan
Kalinchowk temple at Dolakha district is the most famous place of the region. It is situated at an elevation of 3850 meters. It lies in the protected area of Gauri Shankar conservation area. Most of the Hindu devotees during Dashain season gather to worship Goddess Kali in this temple. She is one of the nine forms of Goddess Durga.

The view from this temple unfolds to mountains of Gauri Shankar, Jugal himal, Annapurna Range and the skyscraper Mt. Everest. The trekkers who arrive at Kuri bazaar take one and half hour trek to come to the cable car station and take a ride to reach the holy Kalinchowk temple. From Kathmandu it is 149 kilometers from the Araniko highway. During the months of December, January and February it is snow-clad. One can also have a snow adventure during the winter season. Best time for visiting are February to May and August to November.
Itinerary:
DAY 1: Kathmandu to Charikot:
It takes a five hour drive on a private vehicle to reach Charikot. It is the headquarters of Dolakha district where overnight is spent. There is a famous Dolakha Bhimsen temple.
DAY 2: Charikot to Kuri village explore Kalinchowk:
Kuri village is at the foot of Kalinchowk hill. The walk is for five hours and the view unfolds panoramic mountain views of Ganesh himal, Langtang himal. The walk uphill will lead to Bhagwati temple of Kaali and the shrines, tridents makes this place pious. The breathtaking snow capped mountains with fresh air are the main attractions.
DAY 3: Kuri to Kathmandu
Waking up for sunrise we take a last glimpse of the temple and descend to Kuri village and make our way for a journey on a private vehicle back to Kathmandu for departure.
