The Demand to remove the quarantine for tourist
Various tourism workers’ organizations have demanded to remove the quarantine system made mandatory for tourists coming to Nepal from abroad.
Presenting a two-point demand letter to the Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation today, it is demanded to remove the compulsory quarantine rule for those who have been vaccinated against covid in view of the problems of tourism business and unemployed workers.
As most of the countries in the world have already removed the quarantine system, it has been demanded to remove the quarantine system to make the tourism industry run in Nepal. Similarly, it has been demanded to arrange one tourist and one worker for the health security of the tourists.
Due to which, the tourists themselves are expected to feel safe and the tourism workers are also expected to get employment. Among the submitters are All Nepal Tourism Workers Union, Revolutionary Tourism Workers Union Nepal, Nepal Socialist Tourism Workers Union and Tourism Handicrafts Society Nepal.
