The Gokyo Chola Pass Trek is a challenging trek that takes you through the beautiful Khumbu region of Nepal, home to the world's highest mountain, Mount Everest. This trek offers a unique and adventurous experience that combines the best of both the Gokyo Lakes and the Chola Pass treks.

Gokyo Chola Pass trek is one of the most popular trekking circuits of the Mt. Everest region. The Chola Pass is at an altitude of 5330 meters that take you to Everest Base Camp (EBC). But in this trek, we will not go directly to Everest base camp but towards Gokyo valley and reach Gokyo Lake. From here we move to Gokyo RI to see the summit of Mt. Everest along with Makalu, Cho Oyu and many more. We come next to Dzongla and move towards GorakShep, and ascent to Kala Patthar for close up view of Mt. Everest and its surroundings.

The sunrise view of Kala Patthar is simply breathtaking. The Khumbu glacier is seen winding down the mountains. Then we trek down to Labuche then Debuche and finally, the bustling village of Sherpas in the Solukhumbu region called Namche Bazaar. From here we take a mountain flight to Everest base camp and surroundings, after that we will walk down towards Lukla, and finally we will end this trip. After arriving in Kathmandu, from Lukla, we do sightseeing and shopping and enjoy a farewell program and dinner. The next day is the end and we depart with happy memories of Gokyo Chola Pass trek on the way to our home or connecting destination.

Overall, Nepal is considered a safe destination for travel, however, as with any international travel, it's important to be aware of potential risks and take precautions to ensure your safety.

Nepal is a developing country and some areas may be less developed than others, so it's important to be prepared for different living standards and infrastructure. Some areas, particularly in the rural areas, may have limited access to basic facilities such as electricity, running water, and medical care.

Nepal has a relatively low crime rate, but it's still important to be aware of pickpocketing and theft, especially in crowded areas like tourist markets and airports.

Trekking in Nepal can be challenging and it's important to be prepared for the physical demands of the trek. It's recommended to hire a reputable guide and porter, and to make sure you have proper equipment and insurance.

Political stability in Nepal can be uncertain, so it's important to be aware of the current political situation and to avoid any large gatherings or protests.

It's always a good idea to be informed of the local laws, customs and emergency contact numbers before you travel and also to register with your embassy or consulate upon arrival.

The best season for trekking in Nepal depends on the specific trek you plan to do and your personal preference. Generally speaking, the trekking season in Nepal is from September to November and March to May.

The autumn (September to November) is considered the best time to trek in Nepal as the weather is clear and the skies are blue. This is the peak trekking season and the weather is perfect for trekking in the mountains. The temperature is also mild, making it comfortable for trekking.

The spring (March to May) is also a good time for trekking as the weather is clear, and the temperature is mild. The rhododendron flowers are in full bloom during this time, adding an extra layer of beauty to the trekking experience.

The monsoon season (June to August) is not the best time for trekking as the trails can be muddy and slippery, and the risk of landslides is high. Winter (December to February) is also not the best time for trekking in Nepal as the trails can be snowy and cold, and some passes may be closed due to snow.

It's always best to check the weather forecast and trail conditions before you start your trek, and also make sure to have proper equipment, guide and a good insurance.

The spring season in Nepal is generally considered to be from March to May. During this time, the weather is typically clear and mild, making it a great time for trekking and other outdoor activities.

In the lower elevations, such as the Kathmandu Valley, the temperature can range from the mid-60s Fahrenheit (around 20 degrees Celsius) during the day to the mid-40s Fahrenheit (around 7 degrees Celsius) at night. The higher elevations, such as the Himalayas, can be much cooler, with daytime temperatures in the 40s Fahrenheit (around 5 degrees Celsius) and nighttime temperatures below freezing.

During this time, the skies are usually clear, providing excellent visibility and the chance to see the Himalayas in all their glory. It's also a great time to see the rhododendron flowers in full bloom, adding an extra layer of beauty to the trekking experience.

However, it's always best to check the weather forecast before you start your trek and also be prepared for some unexpected weather changes as well. It's also important to have proper equipment, including warm clothing and a good rain jacket as the weather can be unpredictable.
