Rara Lake trek in Mugu district takes you to the biggest and deep fresher water lake called Rara. The lake is surrounding by Rara National Park. Which is a home to different species of animals and birds and surrounding by flora and fauna. Fishes of the freshwater lake are also serves as a delicacy by the shops, hotels, and lodges. There is also an airport nearby just 4 km east of the lake. Which operates inwards flight from Nepalgunj to Rara.

Besides the spectacular sunrise and sunset views, the vegetation encloses on the Rara Lake inapt for sightseeing, horse grazing, boating, the amphitheater of surrounding hills and snow-capped mountain peaks are breathtaking to the travelers and campers. To embark on the journey months from March to November are the favorable time of all seasons.

The journey starts by arriving Kathmandu and mountain flight to Nepalgunj. The trekking routes are mostly to off beaten paths towards this high altitude lake. The hiking is in a solitude environment and wilderness of forests to behold to birds and wild animals for nature lovers towards the camp near the Rara Lake. The alpine flowers and trees, villages reside by Thakuri mallas and Tibetans. Villages of Ghorasaini, Sinja ridges and riverside trails to the meadow of forests the birds call in the wilderness is must-see while on a Rara Lake trek.

The overnight at camps and hiking to surroundings of Rara Lake is a pleasure and while returning after overnight stay crossing Gharchi Lagna Pass and downhill to Jumla and flying back to Kathmandu via Nepalgunj bring Rara Lake trek to close on a full swing. For travelers, they need to walk for long hours so they must have a good physical condition and have done some hiking before they take the Rara Lake trek to Nepal.

We pick you up at Tribhuvan International Airport and drop you at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu.

We visit UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kathmandu by our private vehicle. We will start by visiting the Buddhist stupa of Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. A panoramic view of Kathmandu city can be seen from the top of Swayambhunath. We then visit the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, followed by a visit to another Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath. You will find plenty of eateries in Boudhanath to satiate your taste buds. Overnight at the Kathmandu.

We take a one hour flight to Nepalgunj one of the biggest cities in the region that shares its southern border with India. You can visit around town in the evening. Overnight at hotel in Nepalgunj.

We fly from Nepalgunj and reach Jumla in 20 minutes where yours trekking trail to the Rara Lake in Mugu district begins here.Overnight at Jumla.

We follow the JugadKhola River uphill as we head towards ChereChaur. The river bank trail passes towards several beautiful villages and reach Khalanga Bazaar which is the busiest town. We stay overnight at Cherechaur.

We begin early by ascending to the Jaljala Pass (3580m/11745ft). Beyond the pass is the JaljalaChaur that descends down rapidly till we come to Chalachaur, the Rara Lake Circuit. Overnight at Chalachaur.

Following the embankments of Jaljhalakhola River we reach towards Sinja valley. This was a prehistoric valley of Khasa around 13-14 century. Overnight at teahouse in Sinja.

Following slopy patches alongside Hima River we reach the village of Laha. Then walking to steeper trails along the Ghattekhola River we arrive at Ghorosingha where we rest overnight.

Today the day has arrived exploring around the biggest and deepest lake of Nepal Rara Lake. It lies at the lap of Himalayas people go for baoting to explore the perimeter of this fresh water lake. Overnight at camp near Rara Lake

Today is another day at Rara Lake you can see the horses grazing, fishermen, passers by, boating, paraglyding at a certain charge in the premises of 6.11 square miles of Rara Lake and visit Rara National park on a special permit. Overnight at camp near Rara Lake.

After having relinquished over views of Rara Lake Today we descend gradually downhill passing through district headquarter to reach Pina. Overnight at teahouse.

Today we climb up Ghurchi Lagna Pass and alongside villages and down till we arrive at Bumra. Overnight at teahouse in Bumra.

We cross the Buma river and hotsprings of that area and again cross Danphe Lagna Pass and get to Chere chaur otherside and move downhill to arrive at Jumla. Overnight at hotel in Jumla.

Today from Jumla airport we fly back to Nepalgunj. This takes only 20-25 minutes again from Nepalgunj we board another flight back to Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Today we have come to the end of spectacular Rara Lake trek. Hope you enjoyed your days in Nepal. After breakfast few hours before the scheduled flight our representative will drop you to airport. Bye Bye!
