One of the well-known and traditional trekking routes to Mount Everest is the Jiri to Everest Base Camp trip (8848m). With excitement and stunning Himalayan landscape, the Jiri to Everest Base Camp trekking is a rewarding experience. The alpine forests, ice-cold rivers, amazing rhododendron and pine forests, spectacular mountains, high passes, mountain towns, attractive monasteries, and meeting friendly locals are the trek's main features. This area is primarily inhabited by Sherpas.

The route goes from Jiri to Lukla, passing through a number of interesting and entertaining settlements that are now visited by trekkers every year. While trekking, we pass through glacier streams and alpine jungles while being graciously hosted by locals.

We pass through numerous villages belonging to various cultural groups on the route. Some of them are Sherpas, Tamang, Jerel, Rai, Brahmin, and Chhetri. We may see a little of Buddhism in the Himalayas by touring the Buddhist monasteries and nunneries that are decorated with prayer flags. The trail also leads to Tengboche Monastery, the most revered monastery in the area. The trail passes via several high passes, including Taksindu-La Pass (3530m), Lamjura-La Pass (2705m), and Deurali Pass (3071m). Everest (8848m), Cho Oyo (8201m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8481m), Amadablam (6856m), Thamserku (6623m), and many other nearby peaks may be seen during this journey. From Everest Base Camp, you may also get a close-up view of the magnificent Khumbu Icefall.
