The cabinet has decided that tourists coming from abroad do not have to stay in quarantine.
The cabinet meeting held on Thursday has decided that there is no need to stay in the tourist quarantine after receiving the PCR test negative report before 72-hour of departure.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhanubhakta Dhakal informed that the quarantine system has been removed.
Nepali tourism entrepreneurs have been demanding the removal of the quarantine system saying that it has made it difficult for foreign tourists to come.
“The cabinet meeting has removed the quarantine system,” Minister Dhakal told Nepalkhabar.
The cabinet has also decided to issue on arrival visa from Tribhuvan International Airport for easy entry for tourists.
Earlier, the government had imposed seven-day hotel quarantine on foreigners.
